What happens

Intravenous NAD+ or its precursors aim to raise cellular levels of a coenzyme central to energy metabolism. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy delivers oxygen at above-atmospheric pressure in a sealed chamber.

How to read the result

HBOT has approved indications — among them non-healing wounds, carbon monoxide poisoning and decompression illness — with defined pressure protocols. NAD+ precursors raise blood levels reliably; the clinical effect in healthy adults is the open question.

Where it stops

Ageing and cognitive-enhancement claims for both are not approved indications. Infusion sessions are long and often uncomfortable, and chamber therapy carries barotrauma and oxygen-toxicity risks that require trained supervision.
